Multi-site management with the CBE Forecourt Solution
Running a multi-site forecourt operation presents many challenges to retailers and their management teams. Regular price changes on fuel can lead to a multitude of manual tasks by staff within each store and loss of revenue if price increases are not implemented in a timely manner.
CBE has introduced their cloud based forecourt application that allows for automated communication between head office and each branch location. Fuel prices can now be amended centrally for individual or multiple sites. This application will ensure that accurate pricing is now in place across all sites regardless of their location or number of sites within the group.
This comprehensive new solution has been designed with busy operators in mind so ease of use was of paramount importance. By simply making a change to the fuel price(s) at head office level, the new price is automatically sent to the back office, tills, pumps and price poles in each site. This automated process eliminates the need for each store manager to manually change the price on the back office, tills, pumps and price poles.
Price scheduling is also available which enables retailers to change the price in each site by a predetermined value at a set time each day, and revert back at a later time e.g. set standard Diesel/Unleaded to drop by 2c per litre, and premium grades by 3c per litre at 10pm to help drive overnight sales in a 24 hour store and revert back to the original prices at 7am.
In order to reduce downtime in busy forecourts, communication errors are automatically sent to nominated contacts via text message or email. CBE’s research has uncovered text message being the most effective communication tool as, generally, people don’t react to emails late in the evening.
