CBE, Ireland’s largest EPoS provider, have just completed a new ‘Business Improvement’ initiative with over 150 of their customers as part of their campaign to help retailers reduce costs and grow their profits.
Over a four-week period, CBE held intensive one-day training courses that were designed specifically for Irish retailers to utilise the vast array of functions within the CBE WinRetail system to enable them to improve their bottom line.
The course was attended by both retail owners and managers and was hosted by CBE in their purpose built training centre in Claremorris, Co. Mayo.
The course was free of charge to existing CBE customers and because it was held off-site it allowed participants to focus on the training at hand without having to deal with in-store day-to-day issues.
The content of the course was developed by CBE’s retail consultants in conjunction with their own in-house training coordinator. Aimed at retailers who wish to improve the processes within their stores it focused on:
- Better management of costs
- Improving margins
- Using reports to better understand their business
- Implement best-practice guidelines to maintain standards on an on-going basis
Inventory control was also an integral part of the training with a step-by-step guide on using the CBE Mobile device to enter deliveries, control returns and correctly manage your stock.
Attendees were introduced to the ‘CBE online help’ feature that is now available to all CBE customers where they have access to full training programs 24/7 via a secure web portal.
The feedback from all attendees was extremely positive. This new initiative is part of the augmented product and service offered by CBE as they aim to equip their clients with all the tools available to compete and grow in these challenging times.
