Gerard Concannon, CEO of CBE, was interviewed on RTE’s Prime Time program last night to give a business perspective on Ireland’s post-bailout future.
As CEO of Ireland’s largest EPoS supplier, Gerard is well placed within the business community to comment on the future of Irish companies.
Gerard outlined how a lack of funding from the banks was stifling investment within the retail sector and that more needed to be done to reverse this trend. He pointed to the fact that Grenke, a German financial firm, had provided retailers with access to investment capital when most of the Irish banks had refused to do so.
Through continued innovation CBE have grown their business with an export led strategy which has seen them emerge as one of the leading suppliers of retail IT systems in the UK market.
The retail and hospitality sectors in Ireland have shown signs of recovery this year and the outlook for 2014 is looking promising.
CBE’s solutions are designed to enable their customers manage their businesses more effectively in an effort to grow their bottom line.
